LEICESTER have swooped to sign Danish hotshot Lasse Bjerre - after impressing club bosses as a star guest!
Bjerre, younger brother of former Grand Prix star Kenneth, has ridden in two of their home meetings so far his season and has notched 17-points.
He comes in for Josh Auty who has been released with immediate effect.
Bjerre will make his full debut for the Watling JCB Lions - subject to BSPA approval - in Monday's Premiership trip to Rye House (2pm).
And he said: "I'm really pleased to be joining Leicester, I said right at the start of the season that I wanted a place in the Premiership and now everything is agreed I'm happy.
"I like it at Leicester and I know the management, they are very ambitious and I'm really keen to get going.
"I will be giving it everything to score as many points as I can and I hope we can get some good results now to get as high up that league table as possible.
"The meetings I've done at Leicester when standing in for them I have enjoyed, especially the one against Swindon when I scored a lot of points."
Leicester Speedway would like to welcome Lasse and at the same time thank Josh for his efforts and wish him all the very best for the future.
One of the key factors behind the decision is the lack of availability with Josh and his duties with Scunthorpe.
Lasse is more available as the club strive for a settled side.
